We are thrilled to have received a grant of £50,000 from The Garfield Weston Foundation which will be used to support our services for disabled children and young people in Southampton and Hampshire.
Flexible support like this makes a lasting difference to the Association especially as we navigate through the current situation and beyond, tailoring our support and adapting to different challenges.
Juno Hollyhock (CEO of Rose Road) said:
"We are grateful to the Garfield Weston Foundation for once again supporting Rose Road with this grant which ensures that our families can get the very best of experiences for their young person."
"We were previously awarded the Garfield Weston Foundation grant of £40,000 towards our core costs which enabled us to carry on delivering high quality services and experiences to the children and young people who come to Rose Road."
"Our ethos is that everyone should have the same opportunities to enjoy some independence, to learn new skills and to make new friends no matter how complex their health and care needs."
"The children who use our services get so much more than just a safe and welcoming place to stay, we go the extra mile to ensure that no one is excluded from the activities and outings other children take for granted. In these economically challenging times the Garfield Weston Family's support is an absolute lifeline for our services."
"We would like to thank the Weston Family for continuing to help us to provide highly trained skilled staff for local vulnerable disabled children."
We're proud to continue our funding relationship with The Leathersellers’ Company.
The Charitable Fund is helping us to provide much need overnight respite breaks for families who don’t qualify for funded breaks, but who are still in need. Also for those families who for whatever reason might be going through a crisis and need some extra support.
The Leathersellers’ Company first started supporting Rose Road in 2010 and our current funding comes at a time when many families are facing exceptional circumstances and we are seeing the complex care needs of our children and young people increase.
